THAT'S HOW IT LOOKS!
The tingling in the stomach still feels like before the first french kiss as a teenager when we look at this line up. Although at the same time we know that three days of Back To Future cannot be described as adult if we think further in this category. In any case, after a two-year break, this will be a weekend of total exertion that we look back on and wonder what is possible.
You can see that we are incredibly looking forward to the festival with its bands, you and this unique atmosphere.
GULAG BEACH
When Gulag Beach start their "Ode To Capitalism" it's music to our ears. Sarcasm and irony, beautifully wrapped in Californian punk melodies is exactly our benchmark. However, their musical diversity is far greater! Always pissed off and unconventional, it's high time for the 4 likeable Berliners to be back on stage in Glaubitz after 2014.
WASTED
The moment we heard that Wasted from Finland something is moving on again, we contacted the guys directly and checked their interest. Things went smoothly and they are happy to be guests on the Glaubitz stage again after a long time. It almost seems like we made a lasting impression 10 years ago. Conversely, it looks similar, because the dark Melody-Punk with the memorable voice still knows how to inspire us extremely.
To our own surprise, we got the info that Wasted are coming to Back To Future with a new album called Modern Lie. This will be released on 04/08/22 via Sabotage Records and Combat Rock Industry. What we have heard and seen in the video and song material for the new release so far suggests great things.
SCHLOTZE AUS BERLIN
Schlotze aus Berlin on, dig up, drink! The band's slogan for their audience could be called that simple when the foursome from Dresden enters the stage. But it's not quite that easy, because the guys also have something to say. In any case, we're looking forward to the "mangy" combo, which clearly has its musical roots in a cult band. Which? You can find that out for yourself!
FOCUS
As is well known, we are also very happy to support bands from the immediate region. FOCUS is a not-so-new band from Riesa, whose current album "In Vino Veritas" has more hits than box-office hits to offer. Musically and in terms of content, it goes in the direction of German-language punk rock à la Broilers or Dritte Wahl A small glimmer of hope in a city that is now only known for noodles, steel and their Nazis.
ACIDEZ
After 2017, the crazy Mexicans ACIDEZ are coming to visit us again. With her new album "In Punk We Thrash" in her luggage. You're looking forward to the performance just because of the title, right? The energetic four will chase us extremely across the riding arena after the long break.
NEW PLASTIC BOMB FANZINE
We've already peeked into the new issue of PLASTIC BOMB FANZINE and think it's pretty great at first glance. Hey, Bärchen und die Milchbubis "Jung kaputt spart Altersheime" and stuff like that! But there are also more current things like Black Square, Team Scheisse and others or Die Skeptiker. Well, take a look at the back, there's advertising for a really, really good festival, awesome!
New Years Eve greetings
Dear BTF family, now we have already had to skip three times because this shitty pandemic is still raging. We do not want to make a big deal out of who is doing his or her part here.
Instead, we firmly believe that we will celebrate a three-day Back To Future together in the fourth restart in 2022, from which we will first need a week off because we have spent so much.
With this in mind and endless anticipation for mid-July 2022, we wish you all and those close to your heart: Have a good New Year, at midnight all evil spirits scream / roar / block all evil spirits across the hereafter and stay brave and healthy, see you in summer 2022!
