THE SPITS (US)

You've probably all noticed that Franz Beckenbauer died, there was no getting past the man. Now you're probably asking yourself, why is there such a rarely stupid introduction here? Well, it's quite simple - because the grand seigneur of football once said: "Is it Christmas already?" knocked out! And this phrase fits better today than ever before, because: THE SPITS at Back To Future! We've been after them for ages! Last year we were even very close, but narrowly missed the tour date, then stood crying in front of the sold-out club shows and almost went crazy, but now it's finally working! The Ramones on speed (ahem), you can expect an insane full throttle punk show! No prisoners - history is being made! "Hey Glaubitz, we have a problem" - everyone in front of the stage, it's going to be epic!

Here it is finally: the new background graphics for your smartphone!

The first overall flyer for BACK TO FUTURE 2024. We think and hope that we have met a few tastes, because booking really wasn't easy this year. Now - at second and third glance - we are really proud and satisfied: a few of our personal all-time favorites, a few of your absolute dream bands, a few real insider tips and newcomers as well as a load of bands that have simply always belonged in Glaubitz. Whether it's the big stage, the tent stage, the bathroom "stage" - they're all headliners and favorite bands for someone somewhere. We will make the individual acts more palatable to you name by name over the next few weeks and months, perhaps with a video, perhaps with a short interview. Stay tuned.

Now, however, we also need a little help from you: Please share the flyer on your social media channels, send the graphic into group chats without being asked, start annoying ("Band XYZ is still missing", "...when is the running order coming?" ) - you know the game. We thank you in advance, your Back To Future Crew!

7SECONDS (US)

"Walk Together - Rock Together", "Young 'til I Die", Back To Future, "Not Just Boys Fun" - probably the biggest hits of 7SECONDS! :-)

... and hardly any song lasts longer than 60 seconds - that's how HC punk rock has to be! After their furious comeback not so long ago, we have of course pulled out all the stops to lure another of our absolute favorite bands to the Saxony pampas! Not only 'Uns Ines' came back from the "Revolution Calling" festival euphoric and shouted "7Second's best band of the festival"!

... yes, and it worked, yesterday the confirmation for the only open air show in Treckerland landed in the mailbox and here we go: Welcome to Glaubitz, 7SECONDS!

NOi!SE (US)

Only for the second time ever in Europe and with their festival debut on our field! In addition to the old heroes of the genre that you constantly ask for, NOi!SE - as a still relatively "fresh" band - was constantly at the top of the charts. “Just get it!” No sooner said than done, even if it wasn't that easy, even a temporary break probably didn't affect the band's popularity. Because NOi!SE doesn't sound like the run-of-the-mill platitude of so many bands with "Oi!" in the name, which is mainly due to singer and songwriter Matt. His voice is simply outstanding: incredibly powerful and so soulful that you could imagine a duet with Chuck Ragan, Amy Winehouse or Louis Armstrong. Expect nothing less than an absolute highlight, we are extremely proud to be able to present you NOi!SE!

THE UNDERTONES (UK)

“Here Comes the Summer”! And no matter what happens, you can mix up the Aperol, because yesterday we received a confirmation from one of our all-time favorites: THE UNDERTONES! We'll spare you a band history at this point, because THE UNDERTONES are undoubtedly in the illustrious ranks of bands that are almost naturally liked by all people with functioning hearing. Or maybe not? In the league we might spontaneously think of The Jam, The Clash and Cock Sparrer. Because if you've never hummed along to "Teenage Kicks", you've never loved punk rock, we can all agree on that! Still amazed that it worked out for us and the Northern Irish legend: Welcome to Glaubitz THE UNDERTONES!

Finally: PISSE!

That should actually be enough as an announcement text, right? We had already had the four Ronnys on the flyer several times, but unfortunately it never worked out due to circumstances. We now even have the ammonia smell situation next to the tent stage under control, so the next step in the 2024 improvement marathon is to put PISS in the flesh on that very spot. Look forward to one of the rare shows from one of the most interesting bands in the game, finally PISS on the Back To Future!

P.I.Y. - PUNK-IT-YOURSELF- KARAOKE (GER)

July 2024. 30 degrees in the shade, lunchtime. The first breakfast beers have been processed, we are located in the forest pool in the community of Glaubitz. The liver is already busy. Someone has the idea “We could have a cocktail now?” Yes, why not? “Blitzkrieg Bop” by the Ramones comes through one of those annoying portable jukeboxes. Actually quite nice here. There's also a Misfits song playing now, but hey, do they have a new singer yet? That sounds terrible. Terrible. Moment. That sounds like the guy we were at the counter with yesterday! What the hell is that? P.I.Y. PUNK ROCK KARAOKE is back! Anyone who has ever experienced the Dresden trio live knows what's going on: The band has 50-60 (probably a lot more now) of our, your absolute favorite songs in stock - they play, you sing: From Loikaemie to Wizo, from Cock Sparrer to the pants, from Slime to Adicts. Great fun for young and old, for punk and skin, for you and me! IN THE FOREST BATH!

DRITTE WAHL (GER)

“They’ll become something!” ...so in 1998, when Back To Future took place for the first time in Glaubitz, a slightly tipsy, tall man whispered in my ear. He had a striking resemblance to “Then and Now” co-organizer Daniel and I didn’t believe a word he said. 25 years later and DRITTE WAHL are undoubtedly one of the most popular bands in the country. With a new album, an almost bombastic live show by punk standards and a sold-out hall tour behind us, we are more than happy that these friendly gentlemen from the north will be our guests again. Dynamic punk rock with a slight metal touch, balanced lyrics and that certain something of authenticity that many other German-speaking bands unfortunately lack. Daniel was right...

CHUBBY AND THE GANG (UK)

You can lift your lower jaws again - YES! - CHUBBY AND THE GANG play at Back To Future! One of the most exciting British bands of recent years, delivering a furious mix of styles from everything we love London for as a musical melting pot: punk, Oi!, mod, glam & pub rock, power pop, blues, hardcore. The trade press is going crazy and we are beaming like crazy that we actually managed to sign the team!

Don't be surprised by the picture! As befits real hooligans, there is currently only one photo of the leader of the gang!

Oi!RONIE (GER)

“Workless Class Streetpunk” and an Oi! in the name: An ironic oxymoron like forest bathing vs. rain jacket or rhubarbara vs. no headache the next day. But actually everyone loves Oi! Music - and seriously - who wants to work? OI!RONIE have been breaking genre constraints in a refreshing way for a few years now, are a force live and the whole band stumbles around the festival grounds every year, slightly tipsy anyway. Oi! It's German punk with a snotty Berlin snout, lots of charisma and very likeable people. Welcome to Back To Future!
