00 DAYS TO GO (00:00:00)
KLABUSTERBÄREN (GER)
"If you want peace and quiet, move to the countryside"—who knows how many residents of our sleepy little town actually own the KLABUSTERBÄREN’s latest album, which bears that very title. For the *Back to Future* weekend, at least, that motto certainly doesn't apply. It’s three days of sonic bombardment, and one band responsible for delivering the goods will be the gentlemen from Halle.

BACK TO FUTURE 2026 – The Daily Schedule Is Set!
As promised, today we’re releasing the daily schedule for this year’s BACK TO FUTURE festival. This is particularly important for anyone who might need to secure a "sick note" (or something similar) just in case. The final running order—complete with exact set times and all the other bells and whistles—will follow a few days before the festival kicks off. Starting now, online day tickets for Friday and Saturday can be purchased in advance via TixForGigs for €45.00 (plus fees). As with previous editions of the festival, tickets for the "Warm-Up Thursday" will be available exclusively at the box office on-site.
Those with keen, eagle eyes will surely notice the absence of our favorite band from Chemnitz: LOUSY. Unfortunately, it seems they made a massive mix-up while planning one of their band members' vacations. To avoid any domestic strife within the band—and in true, inimitable LOUSY-frontman style—they requested to postpone their performance by one year. We accepted this request, albeit through gritted teeth. Sadly, there’s nothing to be done about it. Stepping in as their "replacement" are the equally likable KLABUSTERBÄREN from Halle, whom we’ll be introducing to you in more detail over the coming days.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and enjoy the weather!

Supporting Program
We are all absolutely stoked for SCHLEIMKEIM’s performance at this year’s Back To Future festival. Nostalgia trip or not, the band’s songs still possess an uncanny allure—one that transcends generations. Perhaps this is a perfect opportunity to dive a little deeper into the subject matter? We’ve managed to secure Frank Willmann—one of the two authors behind the book *Satan, kannst du mir noch mal verzeihen?*—to give a short reading as part of our festival lineup. A reading? Say what? That’s right: on Friday at the Waldbad, Frank will give you a brief glimpse into his work; he’ll read excerpts from *Satan* for half an hour and will surely be happy to answer any questions you might have. Let’s just see how "serious" it all comes across while wearing nothing but swim trunks!
Frank is also the author of books covering topics ranging from East German hooligans and Serbian war criminals to post-reunification East German biographies—what a character!

We're not completely out of touch and we know that the key to catching your social media-damaged attention spans is constant bombardment across all channels. Nevertheless, we also consider classic poster and flyer campaigns extremely important. Long story short: Who has the time and inclination to help us distribute these things at concerts and in their favorite pub? We currently need the support of our BTF community, so please get in touch via »MAIL with your name and address.
Otherwise, we'll actually create a TikTok channel and post a dance video every day – nobody wants that, right?
CLAYFACE (GER)
CLAYFACE from Nuremberg play raw hardcore punk with an attitude that doesn't get lost in a haze of testosterone. The not-so-young musicians behind the band pour this attitude into German lyrics that are more inclined to kick than to console. It's about demolition, shattered worldviews, and the charm of a really bad day in a bad society. Musically, it sits somewhere between 90s hardcore, punk basement energy, and the feeling of being annoyed by everything first thing in the morning – in other words, where they were socialized. CLAYFACE's appeal lies precisely in the ambivalence of the consistently likeable people on stage and their unfiltered view of everyday madness. It should also be mentioned that some of the band members are regular guests at our festival.

BACK TO FUTURE 2026
MAID OF ACE (UK)
We're absolutely thrilled that we were able to convince MAID OF ACE, another band from last year's lineup that was rained out, to return to the stage this year. Furious, full-throttle punk, played by four young women from England. Incredibly, all four are sisters! Of course, that says nothing about the music: the comparison to THE DISTILLERS isn't far-fetched. Imagine if they'd just continued like this after their second album...
We first welcomed MAID OF ACE to the Glaubitz field in 2017, and even back then, many guests were left speechless. They're hardly a hidden gem anymore, but the order is still: you absolutely must see MAID OF ACE in Glaubitz!
THE BOULETZZ (GER)
Want another dose of Penelope Houston or Hans-A-Plast? We can help with that and will conjure THE BOULETZZ out of the hat! Melodic, enthusiastic, and charming! ... Plus, we don't need to explain to them where Glaubitz actually is, because the whole gang has been gracing our festival with their presence for decades! And not only that, they're also always diligent flyer distributors and poster put-up back home in Berlin! Now it's finally our turn to give! We're looking forward to Berliner Klopse (meatballs), we're looking forward to THE BOULETZZ!

BOMBSTRAP (NL)
Rotterdam isn't interested in niceties. Rotterdam is sending us BOMBSTRAP – four guys, zero compromises. Subtlety? – Not a chance. They move somewhere between hardcore, punk, noise, and total mayhem – fast, dark, and political, always one step away from going berserk and tearing things down. BOMBSTRAP live means: sweat, lights, chaos, and the moment when everything happens at once. More explosive than band. Only their one show in East Germany – if you miss it, you'll only hear stories!

DEAD HONECKERS (GER)
For years, they've been BTF regulars, beer drinkers, and pogo-starters in front of the stage. This year, they're finally on it themselves.
The DEAD HONECKER from Leipzig deliver raw German punk with heart, attitude, and enough noise to make any electricity meter spin. For years, they've been wreaking havoc between the AZ (Alternative Center), pubs, and benefit gigs, earning a live reputation that's about as quiet as a jackhammer in a stairwell. Political, direct, sometimes melodic, mostly loud.
Or as they themselves would say: Honekcore instead of state ceremony. And if you're wondering whether the name is a self-fulfilling prophecy:
Don't worry... the Honeckers are dead, but punk lives on!
So: Raise your beer, clear your throat, and let the pogo begin. DEAD HONECKER – finally on a BTF stage!
KACKSCHLACHT (GER)
German punk from Braunschweig, fast, dirty, and deliberately stripped down: The band consists of two brothers and relies on guitar, drums, and fast, no-frills, ramshackle punk. Active since the early 2010s, they've released several albums over the years.
The name says it all:
KACKSCHLACHT sounds like someone set a trash can on fire and then decided to make music to it. Not polished, but a state of emergency. No slicks, no polish, just full-on assault.
Short songs, high speed, no time for chit-chat, just pure mayhem. And that's exactly why we're excited that things are about to get even heavier on the Glaubitz field.
So grab your beer, grit your teeth, and let's go: KACKSCHLACHT! The name's shit, but the band isn't.
ZSK (GER)
Have ZSK ever actually played in Glaubitz before? Yes, no, maybe? The chroniclers exchange questioning glances, but really, it doesn't matter at all, because ZSK are coming this year! Really! After the Rock am Ring stage, now our slightly smaller festival version, which shows that the (adopted) Berliners have never forgotten their roots. A band that now manages to convey support and hope across generations – combative, forward-looking, always positive. Sounds almost like what we were thinking when, a few months ago, we decided during our motivational session to revive BACK TO FUTURE. So it's a perfect fit, we give them an imaginary high five; ZSK were and are long overdue. We're absolutely thrilled that it's finally happening in 2026!

POWERSOLO (DK)
“100% Donkey Punk” – that’s how these musical virtuosos, active since the mid-90s, describe their sound. It’s definitely a spectacle you can expect, a wild mix of diverse styles ranging from surf, trash, psychobilly, garage, and country to punk. The band bio whets the appetite (and a little bit of the nerves): “...Powersolo’s live shows often leave even the most seasoned concertgoers bewildered, but are always entertained by their bizarre and silly, yet menacing, stage antics…”. Sounds tempting? Sounds like “Wow, what did I just see?”? After-show moment? We’re looking forward to this Danish delicacy and are more than excited to see Powersolo with mastermind Kim Kix! Jambalaya – Xtra Spicy!

THE LIZARDS (ESP)
THE LIZARDS are one of the bands we wanted to present to you last year. When we started working on this summer's lineup, it quickly became clear: we absolutely had to invite them again! Colossal energy punk straight out of rock 'n' roll high school, PJ Soles meets Joan Jett – we're only pulling the Baboon Show comparison out of thin air for the sake of a better description. The trio from Barcelona will definitely make a lot of new fans; we're incredibly excited for THE LIZARDS at Back To Future!

BLUT UND EISEN, yes, exactly those!
Founded sometime during the early days of chaos (1982!), somewhat sporadic in recent years, but recently back with a brilliant new lineup on vocals: uncompromising, riotous, and consistently anti-establishment, old-school German punk. “Dare I say it?”: This is going to be epic! We're looking forward to BLUT + EISEN at BACK TO FUTURE!

BREAKOUT (FRA)
Fresh from France: BREAKOUT return to Glaubitz after 9 years – it's about time! Street punk mayhem on par with such exceptional gentlemen as THE UNSEEN, THE CASUALTIES, or MONSTER SQUAD: studded belts, mohawks, middle fingers! 1982 in 2026, 1977 told the truth – BREAKOUT at BACK TO FUTURE!

UPDATE
The short break is over, and we're turning the volume up to maximum again. So here's the next update on this year's BACK TO FUTURE!
We've been busy reshuffling the lineup to bring you some names you might not see everywhere.
More detailed band announcements will follow in the coming weeks, but we're especially excited to announce two acts: PANSY DIVISION and the DEAD PIONEERS!
PANSY DIVISION, the legendary queercore icons from America—active since 1991—have always been at the top of our internal wish list, just as we've been working hard to secure the political punks DEAD PIONEERS for some time now. Two acts whose attitude and message are more important than ever these days.
Plus, the band of the moment: BUTTERWEGGE, currently and quite deservedly featured prominently on the cover of Ox-Fanzine. Also on the bill: the all-girl riot punks DUMMY TOYS from China, MARCH - female-fronted punk from the Netherlands, NOWITSCHOK, in our opinion the most toxic Oi! band around right now, GUM BLEED (also from China), and our all-time Back To Future favorites GIUDA from Rome.
Does the cocktail sound good to you? Should we add anything else? We're still in negotiations with a few bands, so there will be more news in the coming days and weeks!

Between the obligatory mulled wine buzz and watching all the Christmas movies, we just restocked our usual favorite ticket outlets with Back To Future hard tickets. So if you're desperately searching for a last-minute gift, you won't be disappointed at these shops and mail-order companies. The complete list is below.
Don't worry, we'll be confirming more bands in the coming days. GLAUBITZ IS BACK!
GLAUBITZ CALLING!
BACK TO FUTURE, back from its year-long slumber, back in the same place, back in the middle of summer!
Here's the first band and presale info. Of course, we'll be introducing each act individually in the coming days, as usual. We'll once again be putting together an appealing and diverse lineup – with new and old favorites, a few surprises, but above all, bands that fit our festival.
We're also making BTF a bit smaller again, and therefore a bit more intimate, based on your feedback from the past few months. This also means that we'll be limiting the number of tickets, so grab yours quickly!
You can get a weekend ticket in advance for just €79.00 as an e-ticket, or as a stylish hard ticket for your bulletin board or fridge. Anyone who would like to support us further can order a BTF Supporter Ticket as a hard ticket for the regular BTF price of €99.00.
We can't wait and are really looking forward to seeing you!
