What do you know about the back To Future and at what average speed will it take you from Karlsruhe down the almost 600 kilometers to Glaubitz?
Nothing and everything! Onboard speed will be approximately 160 kilometers per hour. With piss breaks it should take us 5.5 hours to reach orbit!
Are you guys like you staying for the whole festival or are you going to move on straight away? Unfortunately we're only camping for one night because we're playing somewhere else beforehand.
What's great about festivals? Hopefully the food!
Why are festivals banned? Because of the event Festival visitors!

BTF-CHECK: GRADE 2
Oi! the boys from the island! We are excited about the young English trio GRADE 2. Especially because they already have a few notches in the wood. First, your BTF check:
Who of your label colleagues who play on Back To Future have you met and who haven't you met?
We think that's just BONECRUSHER and we're happy that it seems to be working this time. Apart from that, we are excited about THE RUMJACKS.
Do you actually know that your label boss Hechti from Contra Records will be out and about in gold glitter leggings all weekend and are you adapting to his style?

You are, so to speak, the new breed of British street punk. What else is the genre like on the island?
We would say that there are a lot of new bands with a similar sound at the moment. Check out Rats Nest from Ramsgate. They're young guys like us and they're tearing everything down at the moment. Otherwise, I can recommend Crown Court, Arch Rivals or The Crash Landings. They all already have good discs out there.
You have played in many different countries for your age. Where was it great and where do you definitely want to go?
It's really true that we are incredibly lucky to have already gotten around so well. In fact, it's always great in Germany. The concerts are optimally organized, the people are nice, it's always fun. It was also great in Athens. The performance there was just completely crazy. Where we really want to go is the USA. Unfortunately we can't get our tour there with the Street Dogs. There were problems with the visas...

DRITTE WAHL
Anyone who fiddles for so long, works on themselves and keeps going, has no choice but to achieve success now! We are not only happy for DRITTE WAHL, but also together with them again this year.
Here is your festival check for 2018:
What is it like when, after many years, the desired and completely justified success finally comes after hard work?
For us it didn't happen in a day or overnight. It happened very slowly, step by step. We are of course very happy about our current success. That's very cool, but we're also grounded enough not to lose our grip on the ground.
Without researching at home. How often have you played with us and when was the last time?
We played at least twice. I think the last time was in 2011 or 2012. We have school-age children and have to plan our family activities around the holidays. That's why it never worked out in recent years.
Wait a minute, I'll help out, but I also had time to take a look. It happened 3 times: 1998, 2002 and 2011.
To what extent do you think punk rock wellness is a suitable slogan for Back To Future?
First of all, punk rock wellness is a very funny term! Of course it fits the BTF, everything is included: nature, exercise, drinks containing vitamins and delicious food! Maybe a little sleep, but what the heck!?
Who would you like to throw into the forest pool?

EASTSIDE BOYS (GER)
The Eastside Boys are pulling the plug later in the year after a quarter century. But before we shed a few tears together to say goodbye, here is the last BTF festival check of all time.
You're breaking up at the end of the year and coming back here on the farewell round. What connects you with the Back To Future?
The BTF is like a school reunion, only without the idiots. We have known the festival since the early noughties. The whole thing has a very familiar character, in addition to the usual suspects, you also run into one or two acquaintances who you would probably lose sight of without this festival. Add to that the line up, you can tell that it is organized by music lovers. You can also experience exotic or classic items that you wouldn't otherwise have on your bill. I don't know how many bands I saw here for the first time.
For what reasons can we expect you to continue to come to Back To Future as guests in the future?
As I said – class reunions and interesting bands. In addition, once a year there is a threesome and a thousand people shouting “Viva Lokalmatador”.
You know the festival and can probably tell those who don't know what we mean by punk rock wellness. Please do that.
You have an incredible bonus with the forest pool next door. If the weather cooperates, which it usually does, then you can have a relaxing day with lots of friends before the bands and then you can go to the Konzi freshly cleaned - so wellness for the body.
The bands are usually quite melodic, which speaks for the good taste of the organizers - so wellness for the ears. (I hope I earned myself a few extra beer tokens with this sentence.)
In my experience, the whole thing always goes quite smoothly. No mass processing, lots of friends, no idiots – wellness for the soul.
And there are no hours of queuing for food and drinks. So it happens that you can often be tempted to have one or two rounds of liqueur - (not quite so) wellness for the liver.
What have you missed at every festival so far?
A always free toilet and foot massage.
What won't you miss at a festival, concert or tour in the future?
Packing, hauling, waiting. But that's just part of it and you often get the opportunity to chat with other bands or organizers. So no, I'll probably miss the packing, lugging, waiting too.

THE HILLBILLY MOON EXPLOSION
...are coming to Back To Future for the first time this year to preach rock 'n' roll to us. Accordingly, you should read through what the Swiss have to say in advance:
It's your Back To Future premiere. What do you already know about the festival and what do you expect?
We know it's one of the bigger punk festivals. We don't have any special expectations right now, but we're looking forward to coming to you.
Would you please introduce yourself to our audience so they know what to expect?
We are a band that plays this crazy and completely new style of music. Maybe you've heard about it before. It's called Rock 'n' Roll! Keep an eye on it, it's going to take off soon, believe me. Hahaha
Our festival slogan is Punk Rock Wellness. What do you imagine by that?
Hmm punk rock, but without comfortable sleeping options. Although I still hope so for our accommodation.
What's really annoying about a festival and what makes it so special?
What's really stressful is when no one can tell you where something is or who to ask instead. Instead, the audience is usually great; we think festival audiences are great.
You are from Zurich. Why should you travel to Zurich?
If you want to get to know fabulous women who will make you want to stay and settle down. No joke, that's exactly what happened to three of us.

To what extent are you already familiar with Back To Future?
So far I've only heard positive things. The festival itself is supposed to be fantastic and also have good bands that not everyone knows. Plus the atmosphere of a real punk rock festival
What can people expect from you?
Pipes and Pints is a loud, punk-infused rock 'n' roll band with a Celtic twist - we have bagpipes and an Irish singer. On stage it's melodic Celt-Punk that releases great songs with a lot of energy that we're still singing long after we've left the stage!

BONECRUSHER - THROUGH MARK AND LEG
You have already had concerts with us in the region, but you are not yet familiar with our festival. Have you heard of it before? Indeed. Namely, that the mail should go off properly with you. We are happy!
What do you expect from a festival? Good people, good food, good beer and lots of fun. Plus a lot of fantastic bands.
Do you like to play festivals all over the place? Yes, very much. It's great to meet people at festivals or just to watch the audience. Well, of course, being on stage is fun.
What is it like to be on stage? It's difficult to describe, but it is extremely important to me and one of the things that make life worth living. Also seeing that everyone is having a good time together.
You record new songs. How sure is it that you will come with a new LP? That's 100! Rest assured, we're hot to come and we're going to torch something.
